The World is Spinning Too Fast

The world is going too fast. Not only does it go too fast, it spins, it is a circle, it is a cycle. Is that a problem? It causes anxiety, anxiety in a loop.

This is how the world affects us when it is fast:
We chase. There is so much happening, you are expected to meet all the deadlines. Just to think about finishing eight things in a day may have caused you anxiety. Meanwhile, we would like to keep up with the world, we want to know what is happening. We will probably feel more anxious if our cell phone is not in the pocket or the battery is being really low. Cell phone is our tentacle and our radar, we cannot stand without it.

Because we do not want to be left behind, we follow. Following is the fastest and the easiest way. We do not need to think, we do not need to analyze, we do not need to make decisions; we go where everybody else is going. We are worried if we do not follow, people will be going miles away while we are thinking.
When you are within a group, you feel safe, this is human nature. This way, we escape. We escape from loneliness, escape from the facts, escape from the situations we are in, escape from the things that we should be doing. This is a form of procrastination, which lets us feel good at a short period of time, but feel more anxious afterwards.

What happens if we failed to do things, or things happened unexpectedly? We self-medicate. We look for fast pleasure or satisfaction to dull the pain or grief, some people turn to alcohol, marijuana, and cocaine; we hope new things can distract us from feeling sad or lonely, some people rush into relationships to comfort themselves, to feel loved and accompanied, to leave the negative feelings behind, and hope they can be recovered over time.

This world is going so fast that we cannot help from feeling anxious. What should we do? We could spend some time with ourselves, think about what we are facing, what we are experiencing, and if we know where we are going. Being alone is not being lonely, it allows us to stop and think. After we know where we are, we are able to observe potential problems and avoid or solve them accordingly; we may feel less anxious, and after that we could spend free-minded time with others.

This world is spinning so fast, but we fight with it, we stop and think!
